Cloud Env Marker ("the Extension") is a browser extension that color-codes cloud console headers by environment. This privacy policy explains what data is collected and how it is used.
The following data is stored in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your device:
The Extension sends anonymous usage events via the GA4 Measurement Protocol:
extension_installed — sent once on first installextension_updated — sent on extension updatecloud_detected — sent when a supported cloud console is visited (cloud provider name only; no URL, account ID, or project name is included)weekly_active — sent once per week to measure active usageWhen a license key is entered, the Extension communicates with the Polar API (api.polar.sh) to:
Only the license key and organization ID are sent. No browsing data or personal information is transmitted.
The Extension does not collect:
The Extension injects content scripts into the following domains solely to add a colored header bar:
console.aws.amazon.com — AWS Consoleconsole.cloud.google.com — GCP Consoleportal.azure.com — Azure PortalContent scripts read only the minimal DOM elements needed to identify the current account/project/subscription for rule matching. This information is processed locally and is never transmitted externally.
